Dante Archangel, Sr.

A Funeral Service will be held for Dante' Da'Vol Archangel, Sr. 22 at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 10, 2018 at St. Moses Baptist Church in Sorrell, LA with Rev. Wilson Ferguson officiating.

He will await the resurrection in Sorrell Community Cemetery in Sorrell, LA.

Visitation will be held on Saturday at the church from 9:00 A.M. until time of service.

Dante' Archangel Sr.'s  journey began on August 1, 1995 in Lafayette, LA. He was born to Deidra Archangel and raised by Elliot Allen Sr. He grew up in Jeanerette, LA with his three sisters, Dametria Archangel, Danazea Allen, and Mi'Destiney Allen.  As a baby, Dante' was spoiled by his grandparents, Curtis Archangel, Tananna Baldwin, Kaisha Gilbert, Sentell Eugene, Lady Brown, and Nichols Francis.

He shared a special bond with his five uncles, Shawn, Terrance, Jerome, Curtis (Patricia), and Catrell; and his two aunts, Shanell (Renardo) Archangel and Orill (Darell) Moses.

Dante met his companion Bianca George of New Iberia, LA. Together they had two beautiful kids, Aubree Arkerle and Dante' Davol Archangel Jr.

He was a young man with a heart of gold and a caring father who lived life and loved his family.

Dante' was preceded in death by one brother/best friend, Andrew Washington, Jr.; his maternal grandmother, Telitha Archangel; his maternal great-grandfathers, Peter Archangel and Northern Gibson, Sr.; two great aunts, Brenda Derbigney and Christine Archangel and two cousins, Aneissa Baldwin and Darrel Moses, Jr.

His memories are forever cherished by his great-grandmothers, Doris K. Stanton and Patricia Gibson; grandfathers, Matthew Sutton and Lincoln Gibson; his step-brother, A'Donta Borel his mother, Deidra Archangel of Jeanerette, LA;  one son, Dante Archangel, Jr. ; one daughter, Aubree Archangel;  fiance', Bianca George all of New Iberia, LA; three sisters, Danazea Allen, Dametria Archangel and Mi'Destiney Allen all of Jeanerette, LA; one step-brother, Adontae Borel of Jeanerette, LA;  a father figure who reared him as his own, Elliott Allen; his godparents, Kaisha Gilbert of Duson, LA, Tananna Baldwin Polidore, Curtis Archangel and Nicholas Francis all of  Jeanerette, LA;  two nephews, JaVian Marks and JaLun Archangel of Jeanerette,LA, and numerous family and friends.

Active pallbearers are D'Angelo Raymond, J'Vone Anderson, Akimo Hypolite, Aljarae George, Tremaine Sinegal, and Kyler Sinegal.
