A Celebration of Life for Agnes "Nonnie" Prevot , will be held Saturday, March 28, 2026, 1:00 PM at MK Dixon Funeral Home in Baldwin, La.

Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM, until the commencement of the celebration at MK Dixon Funeral Home in Baldwin, La.

Agnes Darlene Prevot, a resident of Lafayette, Louisiana, passed away on March 21, 2026, at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. Agnes “Nonnie” was 54 years old.

Agnes was born on November 27, 1971, in New Roads, Louisiana, to Landolph and Laura DeCuir Prevot. Blessed with two sons, Christopher and Calvin, she was truly a devoted mother.

Agnes was a hardworking woman who spent many years in the nursing field, aiding, comforting, and supporting the elderly. She took great pride in her work, and all of her patients loved her dearly. Each day was a special gift to her, and she shared her big, bright, beautiful smile with everyone she encountered.

“Don’t worry. Every little thing gonna be all right!” — this was her motto.

Nonnie was known for her love of a good time. She celebrated life to the fullest. Her joy, warmth, and genuine love for people will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to encounter her kind spirit.

Raised in Patterson, Louisiana, Agnes was shaped by her community and experiences. Her education in the local schools introduced her to lifelong friends.

Agnes leaves to cherish her memory:Her loving sons, Christopher Prevot (Paris) and Calvin Griffin (Margaret);Her darling grandchildren, KayOnna, Marli, Zuri, Lovi, Sonny, and Oliver;Her siblings, Connie (Maverick) Marsh of Broussard, Louisiana, Wanda (Barry) Evans of San Diego, California, and Landolph Prevot Jr. of Lafayette, Louisiana;A dedicated friend, Latoya;Her godchild, Sebastian Prevot Sr.;As well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and her godmother, Agnes Andrews.

Nonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Landolph Prevot Sr. and Laura Prevot; her siblings, Mary Loretta, Cheryl, Fitzgerald, and Randy; and her niece, Nicole.

While she has departed from us, she is not gone completely. Through the gift of organ and tissue donation, her love continues to live on. Her eyes will continue to see, parts of her heart will continue to love, and the same physical touch we all experienced will be passed on to those who receive her gifts. We find peace in knowing that her body remains a vessel of blessing for others.
