Allen Micheal Rodriguez, was born on January 7, 1984, in New Iberia, LA. Allen was the first born son of Mary Rodriguez and Earl Lewis. He was raised in Baldwin, LA. At an early age, he accepted Christ and was baptized at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Baldwin, LA.
On Monday, April 22, 2024, after a very brief illness, Allen entered into his eternal rest. Allen suddenly, yet peacefully, slipped away from his earthly home into his eternal life at the age of 40.
He was graduate of West St. Mary High School, Class of 2001. Allen worked at Halliburton for over two years. Allen never met a stranger and befriended all whom he encountered. Allen loved family, basketball, and dressing nicely.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his father, Earl (Melissa)Lewis of Morgan City, LA; two siblings, Aaron Rodriguez of Biloxi, Mississippi, and Anitra Rodriguez of Houston, TX. A cousin whom he loved like a sister, Lasondra Colbert of Ashton, LA, Another cousin and his closest friend, Sha 'Antez Johnson of Ashton, LA; aunts, Mamie of Franklin, LA, Elaine (Kimbro) Youngsville, LA, Gloria of Sorrel, LA, Helen (Ivory) of New Iberia, LA, Catherine of Houston, TX, Jolene Houston, TX, and Margaret of Houston, TX; uncles, Tyrone of Franklin, LA, Timothy of Houston, TX, Cleveland of Sorrel, LA, David of Sorrell, LA, and Joey of Sorrell, LA; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and devoted friends. Allen was loved by all who had the privilege of knowing him and his presence will be sorely missed in the lives of countless people.
Allen was preceded in death by his mother Mary Rodriguez Viltz; stepfather, Richard Viltz; paternal grandmother, Mable Watson; maternal grandmother, Clara Packnett; aunt, Gwendolyn Colbert; uncle, William Colbert; cousin, William "Bess" Colbert.
Faith was the guiding principle in Allen's life. Allen led with love and was always there for his family and friends, whether it was a phone call, or a social media message Allen always stayed in touch. There was not a thing that Allen wouldn't do for the people closest to him.
