Alonia Lorraine Shearron, was born in Lincoln, Nebraska on July 3, 1968. She was a native of Baldwin, LA and a resident of Franklin, LA. The Angels peacefully ushered her into her eternal home on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at 3:15 AM at her residence surrounded by her family. Alonia attended St. Mary Parish Schools and received her Graduation Efficiency Diploma (GED) from Franklin Adult Learning Center.
Alonia was baptized at an early age by the late Rev. Edward Jordan at St. John Baptist Church in Four Corners, LA. She rededicated her life to Christ and became a member of Lighthouse Missionary Baptist Church in Franklin, LA and was baptized on February 4, 2018 by Rev. Dr. Allen R. Randle, Sr. She later became acquainted with Rev. TJ Andrus of Greater New Hope Baptist Church in Baldwin, LA, who would frequently visit her and feed her The Word.
Alonia lived her life to its fullest. She was an avid sports fan who loved the New Orleans Saints. She supported her children and grandchildren in everything, whether it was in dancing, football, basketball, and especially softball. In her younger years, she herself was influential to the adult softball world as a domineering catcher who could make the batter swing at just about any pitch just with the words coming out of her mouth. She also a food connoisseur who loved to cook and feed everyone, but she also enjoyed "restaurant hopping". She was a fun-loving and caring person who was the life of any party. Often times, whatever came to her mind, came out of her mouth. "Lana", as she was so affectionately called, had a zest for life, always smiling. Most of all, her family meant everything to her. She leaves a legacy of love and will be deeply missed.
