A Celebration of Life for Alvin Lively, will be held Saturday, November 25, 2023, at 1:00 P.M. at First Jerusalem Baptist Church in Jeanerette, La.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 25, 2023, from 9:00 A.M. until the commencement of the celebration at First Jerusalem Baptist Church in Jeanerette, La.

Alvin will be interred at Heavenly Rest Cemetery in Jeanerette, La.

Alvin (T-Pop/Champ) Lively was born on September 15, 1953, to the union of Jessie Lee Williams and the late Jessie Mae Lively Williams. He transitioned from labor to reward at 8:15 P.M. on Thursday, November 16, 2023, with his loving family beside him.

Alvin was a 1972 graduate of New Iberia Senior High where he was well known for his outstanding performance on the baseball field. Alvin had plans to further his baseball career upon graduation but was soon drafted into the United States Army. After serving his term he worked at Morton Salt as well as Offshore until his retirement. His favorite pastime was watching his favorite sports team the New Orleans Saints and most importantly spending time with his family.

He leaves to cherish his memories, father Jessie Lee Williams; six sisters, Sandra Lively, Nedia Williams, Jessie (Creig) Eugene, Evelyn Sutton, Janice Roy, and Melissa (Lionel) Robert; two brothers, Albert (Judy) Lively and Carl Wayne Lively; two granddaughters, Keandra M. Lively and Kendralyn Madison; two great- grandkids, Isaiah Kendric Marks, and Gabriel Madison- Wasson; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, as well as friends.

Alvin was preceded in death by his mother, Jessie Mae Lively Williams; grandparents, Agnes Key Lively, Lucas Lively, Sr., Loriska Clay Dejean and Vivian Dejean, Sr.; sons, Alvin Shawn Lively and Kendrick Lively; nephew, Alvin Davis, Jr.; great nephews, Kendal Thompson, Jr., Zyri Zaki Alfred Thompson, Jr.

Memories of him will forever remain in our hearts.
