A Celebration of Life for Annie Oliver, will be held Saturday, February 3, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at MK Dixon Funeral Home in Baldwin, La.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 3, 2024 from 9:00 A.M. until the commencement of the celebration at MK Dixon Funeral Home in Baldwin, La
Annie will be interred at Israelite Cemetery in Centerville, La.
On the morning of January, 15, 2024, at11:18 AM, in the comforts of her home , God sent his angel to deliver Annie Mae to her eternal rest. Annie Mae was born to William 'Son" Fanniel & Elizabeth 'Munch' Smith Fanniel on January 15, 1929 in Franklin, Louisiana. Annie Mae was affectionately known as Ann Toliver.
Ann lived in several states including Louisiana, Colorado, Texas, & Ohio she also lived in Bitburg, Germany for four years with her family. Ann was joined in Holy matrimony to Charles Darrell McClarty, and to that union (2) sons were born; Charles Darrell McClarty, Jr. and Dave McClarty, Sr.. She then was blessed with two beautiful daughters, Penrose Taylor & Marva Washington, by her husband Herman Washington. Ann lived the remainder of her blissful years as a widow after her husband Vernon Toliver, preceded her in death in 1991.
Ann, was a God-fearing woman who raised her children in the admonishing of Christ, she was a very active servant in the church; including Triumph Baptist Church, Mt. Ararat Missionary Church, & Columbus Bibleway where she served over 20 years in both as the Sunday School Teacher, camp counselor and deaconess. She later became a faithful servant of Spirit of Liberty Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Arnold Ray Joseph until her demise.
Ann leaves behind precious memories to be shared by her (3) children; Charles Darrell "Butch" McClarty, Jr., and Penrose Taylor both of Franklin, Louisiana, Marva Washington of Columbus, Ohio; her grandchildren, Tanyetha (Reginald) Ruffin of Blacklick, Ohio, Bryan (Janelle) Pitts, Sr., and Bryan Pitts, Jr., both of Pataskala, Ohio, Charles Michael (Ashley) Slater, Jr., & Shawn Slater both of Columbus, Ohio, Shelley McClarty of Texas, Dave McClarty, Jr., Andre McClarty, both of Jeanerette, Louisiana and TJ McClarty of Lafayette, Louisiana, Charles McClarty, lll., of Columbus, Ohio and a host of nieces, nephews, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her devoted daughter-in-love, Sis. Rose McClarty along with her nieces, Elizabeth "Lil Liz" Collins, Dorothy Collins, Jeannette McDaniel, Rose Richmond, Esther Lewis; forever in the hearts of her dear friends, Sis. Mary Joyce Howard and her daughter Sis. Monica Howard, Sis Cheryl Lewis, Shawna Jones, Bro. & Sis. Jackie & Angela Roberson & Sis. Melba Maze and Sis. Linda Miller along with her Triumph Baptist Church Deaconess family and Friends and Mt Ararat.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, (1) son, Rev. Dave McClarty, and her siblings.
