A Celebration of Life for Anthony "Dukeboy" Brent, Sr. will be held Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 1:00 PM at MK Dixon Funeral Home in Baldwin, LA.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 19, 2024, from 11:00 AM until the commencement of the celebration at MK Dixon Funeral Home in Baldwin, LA.

Anthony "Duke Boy" Brent Sr., was born on November 25, 1972 in Lafayette, LA to Leona "Cookie" Brent & Pastor Charles Spain, Sr.

He accepted Christ as his lord and savior and was baptized at an early age by the late Rev. Joseph Fields at St. Stevenson Baptist Church on Oxford Plantation, Duke Boy's faith guided him throughout his life.

He was a native of Baldwin, LA and resident of Houston, TX. He was a loving father, devoted companion, and cherished family member, passed away on September 20, 2024. Duke Boy's life was marked by kindness, perseverance, and faith.

Duke Boy completed his education in the St. Mary Parish School System.

He was employed by Tidewater Offshore Co.

He cherished his family, leaving behind a legacy of love and devotion.

Duke Boy will be cherished by his children; Jeremy Brent, Hydea Brent (Dallas, TX); wife, Tessa Collins-Brent of Dallas, TX; grandchildren; sisters, Kizzie Johnson (Baldwin, LA), Adécia Spain (Ardmore, AL), Chakeyta (Pastor Jules Anderson III) (Franklin, LA), Takeasha (Terrance) Whitehead (Franklin, LA); brothers, Charles (Cora) Spain, Jr., (Breaux Bridge, LA), Quincy Johnson (Baldwin, LA), Israel (Megan) Spain (Youngsville, LA), Roydric Roberson (Youngsville, LA), Gerren Roberson (Houston, TX), Joseph (Freda) Brent (Houma, LA); mother-in-law, Minister Mary Collins; two godchildren, Corinesha Collins(Patterson,LA), Karli Collins(Lafayette, LA).

Duke Boy was proceeded in death by his son, Anthony Charles Brent Jr.; paternal grandparents, Marjorie and Israel Spain; maternal grandparents, Jesse and Jessie Mary Brent; sister, Takella Roberson-Alexander; uncles, Harold Spain, Israel Spain Jr.,Calvin Brent Sr., Charles Brent Sr., Melvin Brent, Norris Brent, Forrest Brent; father-in-law, Oliver Collins Sr.

Anthony was an avid football fan, especially devoted to the Dallas Cowboys.
