A Celebration of Life for Arthur Phillip, Jr. will be held Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at MK Dixon Funeral Home in Baldwin, Louisiana. Mask will be required.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 22, 2022 from 11:00 A.M. until the commencement of the celebration at MK Dixon Funeral Home in Baldwin, LA.
Arthur will be interred at St. John Cemetery in Four Corners, Louisiana.
Arthur Phillip, Jr. passed away peacefully on Monday, June 13, 2022 at 8:20 P.M.
at Iberia Medical Center in New Iberia, Louisiana following a brief illness. Arthur
was born in St. Mary Parish and was a lifelong resident of Jeanerette, LA. He was
81.
Memories of Arthur will remain in the hearts of his siblings; Jessie Lee (Melvina)
Gibson of Houston, TX, Patricia Gibson of Jeanerette, LA, Lawrence (Linda)
Phillips of Los Angeles, CA, Thelma Phillips of Jeanerette, LA, Mary Phillips Rochon of Jeanerette, LA, Gloria Wilkins of Los Angeles, CA, Audrey Robertson of Washington, DC, Belvin (Melvin) Givens of Baton Rouge, LA, Georgia Taylor of Jeanerette, LA, Angenetta Phillips of Jeanerette, LA and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Arthur is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur "Ben" Phillips Sr. and Georgiana
Robertson Phillips; four brothers, Northern Gibson, Sr., John Phillips, Segers Phillips and Henry Phillips; two sisters Ora Lee Phillips and Marva Louise Robertson.
