A Celebration of Life for Billie Jean Matthews-Delasbour will be held Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 12:00 P.M. at Park Avenue Church of Christ in Franklin, Louisiana. Mask will be required.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 6, 2021 from 10:00 A.M. until the commencement of the celebration at Park Avenue Church of Christ.
Billie will be interred at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery in Baldwin, Louisiana.
Billie Jean Matthews-Delasbour, 75 years old, passed away on March 1, 2021 at Ochsner St. Mary Hospital at 8:35 P.M. after a long illness. Billie was born on February 20, 1946, to the late Earl and Ida Matthews.
She leaves to cherish her husband of 55 years, Robert Louis Delasbour Sr. of Franklin, Louisiana. Two children, Robert Louis Delasbour Jr. (Antoinette) of Dallas, Texas. Nicole Delasbour- White (Thaddeus) of Franklin, Louisiana. Eight Grandchildren, K'arys Delasbour, Lance Delasbour, Damien Delasbour, Jarrett Delasbour, Taylor Delasbour, Jaiden Delasbour, Jaida Delasbour, and Sydney Delasbour. Eight Great- Grandchildren, Ty'Ren Milton, Damien Delasbour Jr., Morgan Aldridge, Kynlee Delasbour, Laniah Delasbour, Kamden Delasbour, Naveaeh Delasbour, Makenna Delasbour. Six Brothers, Earl Matthews (Ira) of Atlanta, Georgia, Phillip Morris Brown of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Clarence Matthews (Rudie) of Franklin, Louisiana, Gerald Matthews of Atlanta, Georgia, Reginald Paul Matthews (Mary) of Battle Creek, Michigan, and Leonard Matthews of Houston, Texas. And a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Billie was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Ida Matthews and one brother, Anthony Brown.
Final arrangements have been entrusted to MK Dixon Funeral Home, 337- 940-3253, 211 Main Street, Baldwin, LA 70514.
