Bryan's Story: From Arrival to Departure, on to Precious Memories...
To everything, there is a season, a time for every purpose under the Heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die…Ecclesiastes 3:1-2
Arrival: On October 10, 1996, the late Bryan Gibson Sr. and Cynthia Key-Gibson were blessed with a bouncing baby boy, who they named Bryan Fitzgerald Gibson, Jr., affectionately know as "BJ". BJ was raised on the principles of honesty, trust, love, hard work, sacrifice, being kind to others and respect for his elders, among so many other positive characters of a Christ-centered life. His parents raised him to respect and reverence God, and to treat others as he wanted to be treated.
Bryan's Story: Bryan received his formal education in St, Mary Parish School System, graduating from West St. Mary High School in Baldwin, Louisiana in 2016. He went on to further his education by attending South Louisiana Community Collège (SLCC) and he was well on his way to a very promising future, working diligently to help support his family. Only a few short weeks ago, Bryan became the father of a newborn baby boy, Ryland. He was so proud to share with everyone that as a proud new Dad, he was able to cut the umbilical cord. Bryan began his career at Cypress Bayou Hotel, working under Master Chef's, in the kitchen of Mr. Lester's, then he moved on to Loco's where he worked under the direct supervision of Chef Roberto who became his mentor and friend. He was this kind and dedicated worker who earned a Shining Star, two years in a row (2018 and 2019). Bryan, a team player, loved by all, never said no to assignment. He was always trying to go above and beyond what was expected of him.
Bryan's Transition: On Sunday, May 2, 2021, while in route to his job, our beloved Bryan was suddenly taken away from those he loved, and those who loved him. While we greatly miss him, we understand that God had the final say in the matter of Bryan's death, and we believe in the end, God's plan for his life is completed. Now, he is resting safe in the Arms of a Just, True and Living God.
Precious Memories: Bryan leaves behind a family filled with precious memories shared from the past 23 years. Those left to cherish these fond memories are: his beloved Mother, Cynthia Key-Gibson, of Baldwin, Louisiana, one son, Ryland Anthony Gibson of Patterson, Louisiana; and two brothers, Justin Key of Baldwin, Louisiana and Fitzgerald Marks of Jeanerette, Louisiana; two sisters, Ryann Gibson and Ashley (Alan) Smith, both of Lafayette, Louisiana. He also leaves behind two nieces: Ashionna Malveaux and Azyriah Isom, two nephews: Timeon Isom and DeVante Marks.; one great nephew:Traylon Carter, Jr. and one great niece: Paris Carter.
