A Mass of Christian Burial for Calvin Madison, will be held Saturday, August 3, 2024, 11:00 AM at St. Jules Catholic Church in Franklin, LA.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 3, 2024 from 9:00AM - 10:30 AM at MK Dixon Funeral Home in Baldwin, LA.
Calvin will be interred in St. Jules Catholic Church Cemetery, Franklin, LA.
Calvin Joseph Madison, was born on February 15, 1957, to the late Arthur Madison, Sr., and Ora Mae Pierce Madison.
Calvin was known to many as 'Hector' he had an infectious smile and a generous spirit. He departed this life on Monday July 22, 2024, at his home in Franklin, Louisiana.
Calvin grew up in the St. Joseph Community, he attended St. Mary Parish Public Schools. Calvin worked as a welder for many years, he was a hard worker and loved to work.
Calvin loves in life were his family, the many children he nurtured and of course his gardening and his animals (dog buddy, horse buddy). However, his greatest love was to serve Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. While his presence will be greatly missed those who survived his passing will benefit from the memories he leaves behind.
Calvin leaves to cherish in his memory; brother, Kenneth Paul Madison; sisters, Fabiola Madison Henry, Valencia Denise Madison Mitchell, Ora Mae Madison, Barbara Ann Madison, Cathy Ann Madison, Patricia Ann Madison Jones, Debra Theresa Madison McClarity; only goddaughter, Brittany Theresa McClarity; aunt, Laura Bell Madison; very close cousin, Floyd Parker; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
Calvin is preceded in death by his parents: Arthur Sr., and Ora Mae Pierce Madison; brothers, Charles Manely Madison, Charles Ray Madison, Leory Madison, Morris Madisons Sr., Arthur Madison, Jr. and Derrell Madison; sisters, Audrey Jean Madison, Delores Madison Abraham, Charlene Faye Madison Bell and Joyce Ann Madison Jones.

There are no words which could fully express our gratitude for all the words of comfort, prayers, and support we've received from our family and friends, too many too name. The expressions of love and fondness for our brother Calvin have eased our pain. Knowing that Calvin was sincerely cared for and loved by so many is a comfort, which will give us strength during the silent times when we need something to cling to. We will remember the ways you describe him … loving, kind, affectionate, funny. The thoughtful, kindly deeds and the hands that reached out to help us in this time of sudden need are deeply appreciated. Whatever you did to console our hearts, we thank you sincerely, whatever the part.
