A Celebration of Life for Carlene Connor-Boutte, will be held Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Israelite Spiritual Divine Church II, in Jeanerette, LA.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 29, 2025, from 9:00 AM until the commencement of the celebration at Israelite Spiritual Divine Church II, in Jeanerette, LA.

Carlene will be interred at Special Providence Baptist Cemetery in Baldwin, LA.

Carlene Connor-Boutte, a resident of Franklin, LA, was born on August 10, 1963, to the late Raymond Connor, Jr. and Maggie Mae Leonard-Connor in Lafayette, LA. She departed her earthly home and answered the Master's call on Monday, March 17, 2025, at 11:31 AM at Lafayette General Hospital, surrounded by her family.

Carlene was a faithful member of Israelite Divine Spiritual Church of Christ II. She attended public schools in Baldwin and Franklin, LA and earned her GED from Young Memorial Technical School in Franklin, LA. Carlene was a dedicated employee at the Best Western Forest Hotel and at Walmart for many years.

Carlene accepted Christ as her personal Savior and was baptized at an early age. She was a talented seamstress that enjoyed gifting her beautiful creations to friends and family. She also loved to plant flowers. Above all, Carlene cherished time spent with those she loved.

Carlene, affectionately known as "Geno" leaves to cherish her memories four children, Kyla Barnes-Williams (Terry), Elltinya LaVigne, Robert N. Lancelin, IllI, and Isaiah L. Lancelin; grandchildren, Tahani Lanceslin-Alfred(Marcus), Ta' Niah "Baloo" Lanceslin, Myria Druilhet, Ta'Kylan "Teeky" Hamilton, Ermon Jones, Titus Johnson, and Simon Leopold, Ill; great grandchildren, Kayan "Kay Kay" Biggles, Madison "Maddy" Alfred, and Khamari Shakesnider; sisters, Connie Connor-Collins, Gwen(George) Angelle, Sheila Connor-Randle; brothers, Donald(Phyllis)Connor, Arbel(Angela) Connor, and Kim Connor; aunts, Barbara Woods and Joydell Robertson; uncle, Robert Chartain; godchildren, Henry Randle, Jr., Jessica Lynn Jones and Nicole Jones, a close friend, Lema Boutte and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was joined in glory with her parents; maternal and paternal grandparents; siblings, Burnell Connor, Myrna Connor, and Joseph Washington; granddaughter, Hope La Vigne and great niece, Moriahya Jones.
