Charles Edward Welcome

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, March 29, 2015, 3:00 PM at Rock Zion Baptist Church, Sorrell, LA for Elder Charles Welcome. Pastor Arthur Alexander will conduct the service.

Elder Charles E. (Charlie) Welcome, Jr. went home to be with the Lord on March 21, 2015 in Chicago, Il, On this day many lives were changed. He is now resting with the Lord. Charles was ordained on August 30, 2009, at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Houston, TX by pastor Maurice Johnson. Charles lived a bladed life in the Lord. He attended Dallas Baptist University and Ohio Christian University.

He leaves to cherish his memories; his loving wife, Jo Ann W. Welcome of Chicago, IL, his mother Mary Welcome of Jeanerette, LA, paternal grandmother Ella Mae Hutchinson of Houston, TX, two sons, Charles E Welcome, Jr., who was born on March 25, 2015 and Emmanuel Williams both of Chicago, IL, one daughter, Crystal Amos Welcome of Houston, TX, two sisters Jessica Welcome of Jeanerette, LA and Katina Bolden of Houston, TX, two brothers, Darrin C Welcome of Houston, TX, and Anthony B. Welcome of Dallas, TX, three grandchildren, Jaden Wilson and Lorrie Amos of Houston, TX and Joel Williams of Chicago, IL, aunts, Shirley Williams and Annie Mae Sam of Jeanerette, LA, Selina Brooks of New Iberia, LA, Helen Waldon, Sandra Wade and Roserra Welcome all of Houston, TX, uncles David Welcome, Joseph Welcome, Ernest Welcome and GeorgeKeys all of Houston, TX, extended family, the Viltx family of Sorrel, LA. Also left to cherish his memories other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, a very special childhood friend, Stacy Amos Welcome and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by a special mother, Barbara Jean Bolden, father Jeffery Hutchingson, maternal grandparents, Gladys Sam Welcome and Ernest Welcome, Sr.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 29, 2015 from 2:00 PM until service time.
