The Life of Clara Mae Johnson Hurst will be celebrated on Friday, July 3, 2015, 11:00 AM at First Church of God in Christ, 1901 Martin Luther King Dr., Jeanerette, LA. Pastor James Proctor will officiate the service.
Visitation will be Friday, July 3, 2015, from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
Born October 7, 1950 to the late Lawrence Johnson and Marie Greene. Mrs. Hurst passed away on June 23, 2015, at her residence. She was 64 years old.
Left to cherish many wonderful memories is her five daughters, Ellenor Joyce Hurst, Lafayette, LA, Felecia Hurst, Jeanerette, LA, Ayanna Hurst, New Iberia, LA, Anissa Hurst Butts, Baytown, TX, Rasheeda Hurst, New Iberia, LA; mother, Marie Green; five brothers, Don (Sherry) Johnson, Lafayette, LA, Ken (Sharon) Johnson, Youngsville, LA, Ananise (Margie) White, Franklin, LA, Brian White, Baldwin, LA, Samuel White, Coteau, LA; seven sisters; Cecilia Turner, St. Louis, MO, Beverly (Hozell) White, Houston, TX, Cynthia White Decuir, New Iberia, LA, Barbara Jonhson, Abbeville, LA, Carolyn White, Jeanerette, LA, Laura Johnson, Dallas, TX, Dorothy Johnson, Coteau, TX; 15 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Hurst, Jr., one son, Asa Hurst, father, Lawrence Johnson, and one brother, Solomon White
