Clarence Lewis Jr. was born on August 23, 1944, to the late Clarence Sr. and Idella Lewis in Four Corners, LA. He departed this life on Saturday, August 1, 2026.
Clarence attended Thomas Gibbs Elementary. He resided in Baldwin and Four Corners, LA for many years. He was a dedicated employee for the Town of Baldwin for 20 plus years where he exhibited his expertise in operating tractors and other equipment. He enjoyed dancing, mechanics, mowing lawns, and watching wrestling. Clarence embodied quiet strength and was truly loved.
Clarence shared 46 beautiful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Sherley, creating a lifetime of cherished memories, love, and devotion. Their enduring love was a true testament to the strength of commitment and partnership. Sherley will forever carry the love they shared in her heart and cherish the memories they made together.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Sherely Lewis, five sisters, JoAnn Lewis, Shirley Conner, Mae Nell Lewis, of Four Corners, Yvonne Ware of Baldwin, LA, and Evelyn Chillis (Ronald) of Four Corners; two brothers Leon Lewis and Michael Lewis(Roberta), of Four Corners; one aunt, Peggy Williams, of Orange, TX , five sisters-in-law, Linda Hamilton, JoAnn Dugas, Pearl Jones, Marie Hamilton, three brothers-in-law, Mike Hamilton, Joseph Hamilton, and Albert Hamilton, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, and godson whom they reared as their own, Brodrick Wilson.
Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Sr. and Idella Lewis; his maternal grandparents Julia and Joseph Wilson; paternal grandparents Della and John Lewis; two brothers, Nelson and Lawrence Lewis.
Clarence's Life will be celebrated on August 15, 2026, 11:00 AM, MK Dixon Funeral Home, 211 Main Street, Baldwin, LA 70514. Prophet Jules Anderson, III will officiate the service.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 9:00 AM until the commencement of the service at MK Dixon Funeral Home.
Clarence will be buried in Sorrel Community Cemetery, Sorrel, LA.
