Clarence "Bosco" Matthews

A Funeral Service for Clarence "Bosco" Mathews will be held Sunday, June 3, 3018, 1:00 PM at the West St Mary Civic Center, Four Corners, LA. Rev Cleveland Jackson will officiate the service.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 3, 2018 from 11:00 AM until the commencement of the funeral service at the West St Mary Civic Center.

He will be interred in Sorrel Community Cemetery, Sorrel, LA.

"Bosco" as he was affectionately called, was born on December 29, 1934 to the late John and Clara Gabriel Matthews in Glencoe, LA. He passed away on May 27, 2018 at the age of 83.

Left to cherish many memories is three sons, Steven Matthews, Houston, TX, Jerry (Carol) Bradley, Abbeville, LA, Troy LaFleur, New Iberia, LA; three daughters, Rose M (Douglas) Sampy, Abbeville, LA, Debra M Hall, Sorrel, LA , Bronson Wagner, New Iberia, LA; step-son, Kevin (Carrie) Nedd, New Orleans, LA; one-step daughter, Deidre (George) Ledbetter, New Iberia, LA; a grandson that he reared as his own, Togonai Matthews; one sister, Agnes Bellard, Franklin, LA; two brothers, Lawrence Matthews, Houston, TX, Lloyd Matthews, Kenner, LA, 16 grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Chantelle Matthews, parents, one sister, Gladys Banks, and two brothers, John Matthews, Jr, and Leroy Matthews, wives, Mary Nedd Matthews, Rosemary Smith Mathews, Dora Jones Matthews, and Francis Augusta Mathews.
