A Mass of Christian Burial for Clarence Brown, Sr. will be held Friday, November 24, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Baldwin, La.

Visitation will be Friday, November 24, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. until the commencement of the mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Baldwin, La.

Clarence will be interred at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Baldwin, La.

Clarence Daniel Brown Sr., affectionately known as "Big U", was an extraordinary husband, father and faithful friend. He was all of these things and more." Big U "lived his life to the fullest. He knew who he was and when you met him, you knew who he was too. He loved his music his family and was loved by many.

"Big U" was born the 5th child to Cleveland Brown, Sr. and Eula Cook on January 26, 1948.  He was a resident of Baldwin LA.

The story of Clarence Daniel Brown Sr. was simple, but extraordinary. "Big U" was christened  at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Baldwin LA, at an early age. He was a faithful parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. ""Big U" received his primary and secondary education in the St Mary Parish School system.

"Big U" was employed by Twin Brothers and McDermott prior to his retirement

On Friday, November 18, 2023, at the age of 75, he transitioned from this earthly plane to his heavenly home. "Big U" does not end here, for many memories will be spoken of for many generations to come.

"Big U's" legacy will live on in the hearts of his family, which includes his wife, Marilyn Jones Brown of Baldwin, La; one son, Trey Brown, Sr. of New Iberia, La;  seven grandchildren, J'Ashala Haynes (Kendra) of Dallas, TX,  J'Andrenique Taylor ( Kendrick) Lafayette La, Tritishia Gonsoulin of Atlanta GA,  Taelyn Minor, Trey Brown, Jr., Tre'Asia Brown and Jamaica Isaac all of New Iberia La; two great-grandchildren, Jade Gonsoulin and Jayden Gonsoulin of Atlanta GA; six siblings, Annie May June ( Leonard) of Delhi La, Gerald Brown (Charlotte) of Broussard La, Jessie Brown and Brenda Brown of Baldwin La, Linda August ( Howard) of Four Corners, La, and Raymond Brown (Naomi)  of Baldwin, La; sister-in-law, Dorothy Jones; brothers-in-law, Henry Jones of Baldwin La, and Allston Brown of Galveston,TX; a host of other relatives and friends, all of whom he shared a unique bond with.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, Cleveland Brown, Sr.; son, Clarence Daniel Brown, Jr.; daughter, Cassandra Brown; two sisters, Myrtle Brown Jones and Cora Ann Brown; two brothers, Cleveland Brown, Jr., and Christopher Brown.
