Visitation will be Saturday, September 23, 2023, from 11:00 A.M. until the commencement of the celebration at MK Dixon Funeral Home in Baldwin, La.
Clinton will be interred at New Mt. Horeb Baptist Church Cemetery in Franklin,La.
Clinton D. "Puppy" Haisley, a resident of New Iberia, La and a native of Oaklawn, was born to the late Lore Ann Sparrow and Cliff August on November 5, 1976 in Franklin, La.
"Puppy" departed this life peacefully on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at Iberia Medical Center in New Iberia, La.
"Puppy" professional employment included working at Fredrick Mach Tools in New Iberia, La. He also served in the Navy.
Memories of "Puppy" will forever remain in the hearts of his daughters, Amy Davis of New Iberia, La, Rory Cole of Jeanerette, La, Kaylen Butler and Ronecia Wiltz, whom he loved as his own; five sisters, Fredrecia August of Lake Charles, La, Pomona Robertson, of Four Corners, La, Ericca Haisley of Franklin, La, Dionne (Ruben) Smith of Houston,TX, Willie Dalynn (Chris) Thomas of New Orleans, La; five brothers, Earl Haisley of Franklin, La, Roy Haisley and Lance August both of New Iberia, La, Christian Rue of Jeanerette, La, Derrick (Yanna) Rue of Houston, TX; six aunts, Ida Mae Green of New Iberia, La, Rebecca McCurtis of Franklin, La, Ethal Bray, Bonnie G. Batiste of Loreauville, La, and Kimberly Charles of Jeanerette, La; three uncles, Jimmy Reed of Franklin, La, Dale Webster of Franklin, La, and Kemper Batiste, Jr. of New Iberia, La; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
"Puppy" was preceded in death by his daughter, Alexis Haisley; parents, Lore Ann Sparrow and Cliff August; grandparents, Mother Amy Haisley, Kemper Batiste, Sr., Philoman Phillips, and McKinley Lotts, Sr.; uncles, Frank Matthews, Tommy Haisley, Kennedy "Hookeye" Batiste, Robert August, and McKinley Lotts, Jr.; aunts, Celestine "Celeste" Bourda, Mary Yelling, Shirley Webb, Mary Lee Mason, Beatrice "Doretha" Smith, Mary August, and Lois McClain; nephew, Roy Veal; cousins, Casselgro "Fionn" Batiste, JaQual "Tootie" Prevost, Gary and Micheal Smith, Albertha Prevost, Reggy and Freddie Narcisse.
