A Mass of Christian Burial for Craig Gabriel will be held Saturday, July 13, 2024 at 12:00 P.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Baldwin, LA.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 13, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. until the commencement of the mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Baldwin, LA.

Craig will be interred at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Baldwin, LA.

Craig "Cop Cop" "Dirty Red" Peter Gabriel was born on September 21, 1952. On July 3, 2024, at 12:17 P.M. by the Providential Hand of the Almighty God, Craig was translated from the transcription of time to the boundless realm of eternity surrounded by his family.

He was the son of the late Dudley Gabriel, Sr. and Ruby Cooks Gabriel.

Craig was a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend who touched the lives of all who knew him. Craig was educated in the St. Mary Parish School System. After high school he continued working at Breaux's Grocery. In 1969, Craig met the love of his life, Veronica Auguster. They married three years later on August 19, 1972, to this union they were blessed with five daughters. In 1972, Craig entered the workforce as a pipefitter/welder. He held this title 35 years. He then went on to work at Cypress Bayou Casino for 11 years. To keep busy after retirement he enjoyed doing handy work. Craig was the true definition of a Jack of all trades.

A dedicated family man. Craig leaves to behind a legacy of love, compassion, and kindness that will continue to inspire all who knew him. Leaving to cherish his memories his devoted wife of 51 years, Veronica L.A.Gabriel; devoted children, Kentra Gabriel of Baldwin, LA, Terrylyn Harris (Charles) of Baker, LA, Kimberly Hamilton (Bryan) of Sorrel, LA, Tamika Carter (Todd) of Charenton, LA, Courtney Derouen (Brent) of Baldwin, LA, Kraig Jackson of Four Corners, LA; 14 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; three sisters; three brothers, six sisters- in- law; three brothers-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Craig was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Dianna Gabriel Rideaux; brothers, Dudley Gabriel, Jr. and Warren Gabriel, Sr.
