A Celebration of Life for Darrell Walters, will be held Friday, November 29, 2024, at 1:00 PM at MK Dixon Funeral in Baldwin, LA.

Visitation will be Friday, November 29, 2024, from 12:00 PM until the commencement of the celebration at MK Dixon Funeral Home in Baldwin, LA.

Darrell Walters, born on August 29, 1955, to the late Ethel and Albert Walters, Sr. He was baptized at a very young age, at the St. Temple Church of God in Christ, under the leadership of Bishop Roy L. Winbush. He attended school at Franklin Sr. High, then joined the Army National Guard in Fort Polk, Louisiana. He moved to Miami, Florida in 1982. There he met the late Bernadette Darden, from this union they had six children and four grandchildren.

He leaves to cherish his memories one daughter, Benita Pinkney; three sons, Richard Harden, Brandon Harris, and Marvin Harris; four grandchildren, Darriell Walters, Darrell Walters, III, D'layah Walters; two sisters, Pastor Niecey Walters and Dianna Walters; two brothers, George L. Bolden, Deacon Dallas (Rev. Jeanette) Walters; a host of family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Bernadette Darden; two sons, Darrell Walters, Jr., Edgar Harris; parents; four brothers, Freddie Williams, Albert, Cedius, and Eugene Walters, Sr; two sisters, Viola Keisey and Thelma Walters.
