A Celebration of Life for Darryl Gibson, will be held Saturday, November 15, 2025, 1:00 PM at Special Providence Baptist Church in Baldwin, LA. Rev. Charles Spain will officiate the service.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM, until the commencement of the celebration at Special Providence Baptist Church in Baldwin, LA.

Darryl will be interred at Special Providence Baptist Cemetery in Baldwin, LA.

Darryl is survived by his daughter, Demeitra Gasper; his son, Dewayne Webb; five grandchildren (Tai’Hyila Dominick, Tylon Dominick, Terroni Dominick II, Darwin Johnson, and Kali Webb); Five brothers: Henry Johnson, James (Tammy)Johnson, Sr, Evans (Brenda) Gibson,

Michael (Joyce) Johnson, and Anthony Gibson. Four sisters: Ethel (Stanley ) Clay, Connie Moore, Elease Jackson, and Stacy Gibson. A devoted companion, Felecia Jones, three aunts, Mercedes Gibson, Mable Williams, and Delores Gibson. A special niece, who he adored and valued her judgement, Missy Moore; his son-in-law, as he called him, who he loved dearly, Terroni Dominick, a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Darryl was preceded in death by his mother, Emma Dell Gibson Johnson, father, Wilson Thomas, sister, Emma “Mame” Gibson, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
