David Jarrell left us on January 4, 2022. He was 51 years young. He left us so suddenly without warning and we are still struggling to come to terms with this terrible loss. David leaves a huge hole in the lives of those who knew him because he was larger than life in so many ways.
David was so many things to so many people. He was a son, husband, father, grandfather, and a friend. He was an employee and coworker appreciated for not just for his work ethic but for his friendship, a husband that made his wife feel precious and loved every day. A son and brother who was very much wanted and deeply loved. A father who adored his children and tried to be the best father he could be. A grandfather who enjoyed every moment with his grandbabies. He was the kind of friend you could count on no matter what.
David was funny and kind and painfully honest. If you ask him for his opinion, you'd better want it because you were going to get it! He never held back and he never backed down. He was a fighter. He fought for what he cared about and for what he believed was right. He might not agree with you but he would always be there when you needed him. He had a huge heart and a great sense of humor. He loved to laugh even if he was laughing at himself. He was a hard worker but he never missed an opportunity to have some fun. He loved his friends like they were family and he had a fierce love for his family.
David lived a full life in a short time. He enjoyed every day and made them count. He would not want any of us crying or being sad over his passing. He would want us to remember all the good times we had with him and laugh. He would want those stories shared often and told to his grandchildren so they could know him through all of us. He would want us to live life to the fullest, do what we enjoy, and be kind to ourselves and each other because we never know what tomorrow will bring.
David worked for many years as a boilermaker but recently began working at Dynamic Insulation where he made many good friends. He enjoyed playing games online on his PlayStation and spending time with his and Angela's seven precious fur babies. He and Angela recently celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary.
David left us to join his parents Claude and Gussie Jarrell; father, David Echols; sisters, Joann Spooner and Jeanie Warden; brother, Claude James Jarrell (Buster).
He leaves behind his wife of 10 wonderful years, Angela Jarrell; one daughter, Nicole (Thomas) Jarrell; grandchildren, Aubrielle Bates and Luka Thomas David Snyder; siblings, Brandy (Jeff) Johnson, Amos (Dana) Jarrell, Wesley (Patricia) Jarrell, Claude Randolf (Brenda) Jarrell, Francis (Bobby) Ferrett, Mary Fay Leidigh, Larayna (Tim) Honea, Crystal (Allen) Taylor, Katrina (Trey) Frazier, and David (Jennifer) Carroll Echols; stepmom, Vickie Echols, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends. We will truly miss him but we know we will see him again, praise God!
Final arrangements have been entrusted to MK Dixon Funeral Home, 337-940-9253, 211 Main Street, Baldwin, LA 70514.
