Visitation will be Monday, March 10, 2025, from 11:00 AM-1:15 PM at MK Dixon Funeral Home in Baldwin,LA.

David will be interred at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Baldwin, LA.
David Paul Broussard, Sr. also known as "Zon-Yon" or "Sportyodi" to some, passed away at the age of 63 at Iberia Medical Center. He was surrounded by family and friends.
David, Sr. was born August 20, 1961, to the late Wilfred Sr. and Alfaretta Broussard. He resided in Glencoe, LA with his parents and siblings. He was baptized at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Glencoe, LA. He attended Thomas Gibbs Elementary, Park Avenue High and graduated from Franklin High School Class of '79. After high school, he went on to work with his brother, John, as a structural fitter at McDermott. In 1980, he married Linda Matthews. To that union three children were born; Candi, Crystal & David, Jr. He was a dedicated hard worker. He held his vocation as a structural fitter for 40+ years with different companies and travel contract jobs.
In his younger days he enjoyed playing baseball in the 4 Corners park with the fellas. Their team was known as "One Way"! He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved to enjoy life and have a good time.
He leaves to cherish his memory, two daughters; Candi & Crystal, one son; David, Jr(Brittani), Eleven grandchildren; DeJohn, LeDonti', Micheal, DeOnjanae, Jaiylon, No'Saj, Jackilon, Bre'L, Bry'A, Broly, and Lenox; three sisters, Loretta(Raymond), Barbara(Grant), and Michelle (Joseph); three brothers, Wilfred, Jr., John(Roslyn), and Andre(Barbara); one friend who was like a brother to him, Colby Johnson; three godchildren; Alonzo, Antoine, Sr., and Zaelee Love; host of nieces, nephews, friends, and coworkers. Also, the Strothers family of Seattle, WA, who took him in and welcomed him as a family away from home.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Wilfred, Sr. and Alfaretta, two grandsons; Jackie Roberson III and Christian Roberson; one sister, Renee';two brothers, Martin and Phillip; two sisters in law, Michelle and Belva.
