A Graveside Service for Delana Jackson, will be held Friday, October 25, 2024, at 12:00 PM at Special Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in  Baldwin, LA.

Final Viewing for Delana Jackson will be Friday, October 25, 2024, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at MK Dixon Funeral Home in Baldwin, LA.

Delana will be interred at Special Providence Cemetery in Baldwin, LA.

Delana Henry Jackson, Sr. was born in Lafayette, LA to the late Rufus Jackson, Sr. and Daisy Mae Metz on December 15, 1968. Delana was a resident of Sioux City, lowa for over 30 years.

He accepted Christ at a young age at Saint Temple Church of God in Christ under the leadership of late Pastor Naomi Boles. He was a graduate of Franklin Senior High School and later moved to Sioux City, lowa, where he met and married the love of his life, Sue Ann Daughterty-Jackson. Delana loved to travel, spend time with family, watch the New Orleans Saints, and just enjoyed life.

Delana leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Sue Ann; two sons, Delana Jackson, Jr. and Davon Jackson; two daughters, Saverda Jackson and Jaquanda Jackson; nine grandchildren; four sisters, Angela Picard, Barbara Jackson, Letina Edwards, and Latrell Steward; five brothers, Rufus Jackson, Jr., Dewayne Jackson, Darnell Jackson, Terrell Jackson, and Theapolis Baldwin; father-in-law, Edward Daughterty; mother-in-law, Dianna Daughterty; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Delana was preceded in death by his father, Rufus Jackson, Sr., mother, Daisy Mae Metz; two sisters: Laouma Jackson and Bridget Jackson; one brother, DeShawn Steward; one nephew, Rufus Jackson Ill; one niece, Keneisha Jackson; maternal grandparents, paternal grandparents; aunts, Susie, Maxine, and Florence.
