The Life of Donald Ray Richard, Sr. will be celebrated on Saturday, May 30, 2015, 2:00 PM at Greater New Hope Baptist Church, 104 10th Street, Baldwin, LA. Rev E. Jolivette, Pastor. Elder Donald Lanceslin, Pastor of Hines Memorial Temple COGIC will officiate the service.
Visitation will be Saturday, May 30, 2015, 10:00 AM -2:00 PM at Greater New Hope Baptist Church. Interment will be in Trinity UMC Cemetery.
Donald Ray Richard Sr. 56, a native and lifelong resident of Baldwin, LA passed away on May 24, 2015. Donald Ray was born on Dec. 14, 1958 to the union of Fabiola Hudson Richard and Clayton Rivers Richard. Donald was an avid music lover, a health conscious gym buff, and a faithful Saints fan who enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and co-workers. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. He received his early education from Sager Brown School, St. Mary Parish Public Schools, and Diesel Driving Academy. He was employed by Diamond Offshore, McDermott Shipyard, and a valued employee of Columbia Chemicals for the past 25 years.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife of 35 years, Sandra Cooks Richard, three sons, Donald R. Richard Jr., Jarvis D. Richard, and Daanaa R. Richard all of Baldwin, LA; one grandson, Deon'Tre Colbert of Lake Charles, LA. His loving mother Vergie D. Richard, of Baldwin, La; five sisters, Fabiola Price and Tammy"Washington" Richard, both of Dallas, TX, Angelika Jones (Patrick), Summer Pradia, and Amber Tillman (Sedrick),all of Baldwin, LA; eight brothers, Clayton M. Richard (Lillie Mae), Chadrick Druilhet (Lashawn), both of Franklin, LA, Russell Richard (Mattie), Austin, TX, Marlon Druilhet (Cloressa), Alden Richard both of Baldwin, LA, Bradford Richard (Felicia), of Atlanta, GA, Lenneth Richard and Kenneth Richard, both of Seattle, WA, his mother-in-law, Susie Lewis, of Baldwin, LA and one godchild, La'Teyana McDaniel of Franklin, LA. He is also survived by; seven sisters-in-law, three brothers-in-law, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clayton R. Richard, Fabiola H. Richard and one brother, Clayton Todd Richard.
