Edward "Big Ed" Washington

Celebration of Life for Edward Washington, Sr., affectionately known as "Big Ed," will be held Saturday December 26, 2020 at 2:00 PM at MK Dixon Funeral Home with Apostle Edward Williams officiating.

Visitation will be Saturday, December 26, 2020 from 12:00 Noon until the commencement of the celebration at MK Dixon Funeral Home

Mr. Washington will be interred at the St. Helen Cemetery in Glencoe, Louisiana.

Edward was a native and lifelong resident of Baldwin, La. God saw it fit for him to be called home Thursday December 17, 2020 at Bayou Shadows Rehabilitation in New Iberia He was 78 years old.

He was survived by his loving and devoted companion of 30 plus years, Mary J. Ceasar of Baldwin,LA; five sons, Edward Washington Jr. (Jeana), Christopher Roberts, Leonard Ceasar (Javis), Michael Ceasar, all of Baldwin LA, Lloyd Minor of Jeanerette ,LA, six daughters, Bridget Obi (Charles) of Richmond, TX, Felicia Ceasar (Moses) of Houston, TX, Ertha M. Johnson (Ernest) of Lafayette, LA ,Laura Roberts of Lake Charles, LA, Sharon R. Clay, Baldwin, LA, Yolanda Cesar of New Iberia, LA, one sister, Deborah Dasin of Houston, TX, and host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
one aunt, Josie Lee Lockette of Baldwin, LA, one uncle James Mets of Little Rock, AK, two Godchildren, Lillian Ceaser and Joe Washington, five special friends; Stephen Bruno, Clifton Tardy, Joe Washington, Ronald Chillis, Ronald Valiere and a tremendous amount of nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by one son, James E Roberts, one daughter, Lois Minor, his parents Mr. and Mrs. Leonard P Washington Sr., and five sisters.
