Eldridge Pitre

A Celebration of Life for Eldridge Pitre will be held Thursday, June 1, 2023, 12:00 Noon at Proctor's Mortuary, 3522 Washington Blvd, Beaumont, TX 77705. Rev C F Lewis will officiate the service.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 1, 2023, 11:00 AM until the commencement of the service at Proctor's Mortuary.

Eldridge will be interred in Houston National Cemetery, Houston, TX on Friday, June 2, 2023, 10:45 AM. He will receive full military honors.

Eldridge Pitre better known as " Sweet Pete", "Tootsie Roll" and "Mr. Smooth" was born on March 13,1950 to Warren and Julia Pitre. He was a lifelong native of Beaumont, Texas.

In 1968, He graduated from Hebert High School. He enlisted in the United States Navy where he served and received a Honorable Discharge.He was employed with Exxon Mobil for 30 years as a pipe-fitter.  Eldridge was a devoted husband and father.

His many memories will be cherished by his son, Sean Pitre; his daughter's Shannda Bolton (Christopher), Bobbi Pitre, Peyton Pitre, and Kennedy Pitre.  One sister, Elsie Pitre-Lokay; and one brother, Benny Petry.  His memories will live on through his grandchildren and a host of nieces,nephews, other relatives and friends.

Eldridge was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Julia Pitre; six brothers, Clyde, Joseph, Winston, Leroy, Bobby and Harold Pitre and one sister Dorothy Pitre-Speights.
