Eustace Gordon Ferguson (nicknames Goose and Fergie) departed this life on Sunday, August 1, 2021 in Baldwin, Louisiana.  Eustace was born on September 8, 1936 to the late Amos Gordon and the late Luisa Reyes in Guatemala City (Ciudad de Guatemala) C.A.  Eustace was raised and attended school in Guatemala.  He eventually moved to New York and began pursuing his education in electronics and also became interested in photography.  Eustace later relocated to California. He attended Newton Electronics Enterprises and graduated as a certified Electrical Technician. Eustace started his career in aerospace where he worked for Fairchild Aerospace for 35 years. Eustace was very savvy with computers as he also received training in computer development.  In addition to the love and enjoyment he had for his family and friends, Eustace was an amazing chef.  He loved cooking everything from gumbo to paella to pumpkin pie, and (with a smile) loved sharing with everyone.  Eustace musical talent included playing the guitar.  He loved dancing and listening to soca and reggae music which made him smile (his favorite reggae artist was Gregory Issacs).  Eustace also enjoyed fishing, building computers and watching American football, soccer and basketball on TV.
Eustace came from a large and loving family.  He was one of six siblings with one brother - Robert Gordon (Zoila); and four sisters - Maria Gordon (deceased), Lucila Gordon, Suzanna Gordon, and Joselina Lopez.
Eustace met Mary Louise in California when they both worked in aerospace.  They married, retired and moved to Baldwin, Louisiana.  They shared 34 years of love until his passing.  He was a devoted, caring and loving husband, father and grandfather.  Eustace has two sons - Aaron Ferguson (deceased) and Van Ferguson; two stepdaughters - Elgita Joiner and Antoinette Love (Craig).  In addition to the children left to cherish his memory are seven grandchildren (Elma, Victor, Nina, Glen, Destiny, Jasmine, and Vincent) and a host of loving family members and friends.
Final arrangements have been entrusted by MK Dixon Funeral Home, 337-940-9253, 211 Main Street, Baldwin, LA 70514.
