Forest "Peenie" Brent

A Celebration of Life for Forest "Peenie" Brent will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 1:00PM, MK DIXION Funeral Home, Baldwin, LA. Reverend, Willie Jackson Sr. will officiate.

The family has requested that visitation be observed Saturday, September 16, 2017, from 11:00 AM until the commencement of the funeral service.

Forest Brent affectionately known as "Peenie" was born on February 16, 1957 to the late Jesse & Mary Jessie (Washington) Brent Sr. Forest was a native of Baldwin, LA and a resident of Port Arthur, TX. He departed this life at the age of 60 on Saturday, August 26, 2017, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, TX with his wife and family by his side.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories his wife, Carolyn (Lewis) Brent of Port Arthur, TX; five sons, Travis Lewis, Malcom Lewis, and Carl Lewis, all of Port Arthur, TX; Allen (Shakria)Lewis of Covington, GA; and Corey Robertson of Glencoe, LA; nine grand-children, one in which he help reared, Travis Tyrone Lewis two sisters, Leona Brent Baldwin, LA; and Merlene(William Sr.) Payton of Sorrell, LA; four brothers, Norris Brent, Clyde(Flora Bell) Brent both of Baldwin, LA; Melvin Brent of Lafayette, LA; two uncles, Ivory Kelly Sr., and Samuel Narcisse both of Baldwin, LA; four sisters-n-law and three brothers-n-law , and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who realize earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal.

He was preceded in death by parents Jesse & Mary (Jessie) Washington Brent Sr., maternal and paternal grandparents, mother and father in law, two sisters, Dora Brent Navy, Mercedes Brent, three brothers, Charles Brent Sr., Jesse Brent Jr. and Calvin (Geebie) Brent, six aunts, and four uncles.
