A Celebration of Life for Francesca Jenkins will be held Friday, December 9, 2022 at 12:00 P.M. at MK Dixon Funeral Home in Baldwin, La, with Pastor Jules Anderson, III, officiating. Mask will be required.

Visitation will be Friday, December 9, 2022 from 10:00 A.M. until the commencement of the celebration at MK Dixon Funeral Home in Baldwin, La.

Visitation will resume on Monday, December 12, 2022, from 10:00-11:00 AM at Immanuel Worship Center, 8074 LA-26, Jennings, LA 70546 with interment to follow immediately after at Parkview Cemetery in Jennings, La.

Francesca Hurt Jenkins was born on August 6, 1955, in Lafayette, La to the late Willie Mae Thomas and Nathaniel Kelly.

She was baptized at an early age in Jennings La. Fran, as we called her, graduated from Jennings High School in the early 70's. Fran touched the lives of so many people. She had a kind heart and always willing to help those in need. Fran was the owner of FRL Creations where she had a passion for decorating various events. In her spare time, she would help at the Zion Community Outreach Center in Verdunville la and The Bargin Barn in Franklin La. Fran was a member of Pozitive Image Social Club where she served as the Event Coordinator. One of Fran favorite hobbies was Drinking her Coffee on the porch with her daughters. On August 12, 2006, Fran married her love Robert Jenkins Jr. in Franklin, La. She was dedicated to providing, protecting, and most of all loving her family.

Fran departed this world unexpectedly, way too soon on Monday November 28, 2022, at Ochsner Medical Center Lafayette. She leaves to cherish her fondest memories and legacy to her loving and devoted husband, Robert Jenkins Jr.; three daughters, Murphyetta Mixion, Shaunta Harmon and Alzenia Taylor of Jennings, La; five brothers, Malcom Thomas, Morris Anderson, and Tyrone (Sandra) Livings of Jennings, La, Cedric Kelly of Iowa, La, and Brian Steverson of Victoria, TX; five sisters, Cheryl Kelly, Ericka (Paul) Hartman, and Myrna Kelly of Jennings, La, Rosethel Kelly of Houston, TX, and Judy (Darrell) Washington of Phoenix, AZ; two aunts, Audrey Depass of Franklin La, and Gertrude Hall of Riverside, CA; one son in law, Troy Jones of Jennings, La; a bonus daughter, Quovadis (Derrick) Kelly of New Iberia, La; a devoted sister/cousin, Janean Hammond of Atlanta, Ga; a special brother, Van K Comeaux of Jennings, La; two Brothers in law, Myron Jenkins and Ricky Lynn Jenkins; one sister in law, Penny Foster of Franklin, La; 19 grandkids and 36 great grandkids, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Fran was preceded in death by her parents; Willie Mae Thomas and Nathaniel Kelly; her daughter, Modesta Hurt Jones; son in law, John V Harmon Jr.; two aunts, Josephine Anderson and Pearl Burt; four sisters in law, Lorena Smith, Robertine Hammond, Jackie Johnson, Barbara Jenkins; one brother in law, Lanard Foster.

Fran will always be loved and missed. The memories she left behind will always remind us of the love she shared with us and the lives she touched.
