A Mass of Christian Burial for Frank Harris, Jr., will be Saturday, December 28, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Jeanerette, LA.
Visitation will be Saturday, December 28, from 9:00 AM until the commencement of the mass at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Jeanerette, LA.
Recitation of the Rosary at 10:30 AM.
Frank will be interred at Heavenly Rest Cemetery in Jeanerette, LA.
Frank Harris, Jr., 74, was born on January 11, 1950, in Jeanerette, LA, to Kitty Mae Davis Harrison and the late Frank Harris Jr., and Frank attended F.M. Boley High School Class of '68 public school in Jeanerette where he graduated. On Friday, December 20, 2024, after a lengthy illness God sent an angel that whispered in Frank's ear saying it is time to return him back to Me and at 9:30 AM, Frank did what he was told.
Frank accepted Christ at an early age and his faith remained strong in the Lord. Frank was employed as a professional welder utilized by many companies during his tenure.
Frank was a diehard fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers there was nothing that would keep him from being in front of the television talking trash on game day.
Frank was loved by many and had a smile that could light up the room and heart of pure gold. Frank was affectionally called Daddy, Paw Paw, and Uncle, most of all Frank left a wonderful Legacy in the city of Jeanerette, LA, where he will be truly missed.
Frank was preceded in death by his son Shawn Harris; grandson, Deondrick Rudd; brother, Lionel Harris; uncle, Carol Davis; stepfather, Edward Harrison.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Deborah Martin Harris; daughters, Dionne Fields (Michael, Big Mike to him who he loved dearly), Marilyn Martin (Kevin) of St. Martinville, LA; grandchildren, Ce'Quindra P. Harris of Galveston TX, Shawn Ramagos of Morgan City, LA, Ahmaad Mitchell, Thailund Mitchell of Jeanerette, LA, Tati-yanna Garrett New Iberia, LA, Kameron, Meki, and Miles Martin all of St. Martinville LA; great grandchildren, Ja'Din, Makaylin, Jaylin, Ra-Hiem, Khailiyana, Ty'Quaan, Eli and Emile; special daughter, Chief Sherry Landry; a host of family and friends.
