Frankie Mae was born on December 31, 1933, to the union of Frankie Bennett and Elvena Hamilton Bennett, in Patterson, Louisiana. Her family consisted of ten children, six boys and four girls.
Frankie Mae was baptized at an early age at St. Luke Baptist Church, by the late Rev. B.G. Powell. She served faithful, singing in the choir, until making the decision to join Pastor Keith Carter, at New Life Worship Center, where she continued to worship, praise, and learn of her heavenly home. She served faithfully at New Life, until God called for her.
On Tuesday, October 18,2022, at the beautiful age of 88, Frankie Mae was called to glory. She passed away peacefully, at Ocshner Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Frankie Mae was preceded in death by her husband, George Ladday, Sr.; her parents, Frankie and Elvena Bennett; two sons, George Jr., and Charles Allen Ladday; her son-in-law, Junius Washington; five brothers, Albert(Mary Louise), Charles(Ladora), Donald, Wilbert, and Calvin Bennett; three sisters, Francis Joy Washington(Francis), Grace Beatrice Jennings (Clarence) and Albertha Bennett; great aunt, Albertha Johnson and sister-in-law Sally Bennett.
Ending, loving memories will forever live in the hearts of her children, Dianna (Julian) Washington, Amanda Washington, Larry Ladday(Misty Turner), all of Patterson, Louisiana, Bobby(Betsy) Ladday of El Paso, Texas, and Carla (David) Villery, of Houston,Texas; daughter-in-law, Cynthia Ladday, of New Iberia, Louisiana; brother, Berteand Bennett, of Patterson, Louisiana; sister-in-law, Ella Mae Bennett, of Patterson, Louisiana; godchildren, Billy Washington, of Morgan City, Louisiana and Charlotte Hopskins, of North Carolina; 16 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, 5 great, great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives, and friends.
