A Celebration of Life for George Pierce, Jr. will be held Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 12:00 P.M. at Morning Pilgrim Baptist Church, in Jeanerette, LA. Mask will be required.
George had a gift of serving; he served in the United States Army where he later retired. He then went on to serve as a security guard at Jeanerette Mills, where he also retired. George was a member of the Morning Pilgrim Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and was a member of the Male Chorus.
Memories of George Pierce, a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, will forever remain in the hearts of his wife loving wife, Mary Alice Pierce of Jeanerette, LA; his children, Gregory Pierce of Baton Rouge, LA; Donovan Lewis, Robert Lewis, Cortez Lewis, Joseph Alfred, Cornelia Engleton all of Jeanerette, LA; Annie (Johnell) Lewis, and Juanita (Anderson) Clay, both of New Iberia, LA.; one brother, Tommy (Mary) Pierce of Lindenwold New Jersey; three sisters, Diane (Forrest) McNair, Karen Pierce both of Woodbury, New Jersey, Lorraine (Ronnie) Coleman of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; twenty two (22) grandchildren, and a host of great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
George was preceded in death by his parents George and Helen Pierce; one daughter, Betty Alfred; one son, Theopolius Baldwin; one sister, Rosetta Pierce; one nephew, Chad Pierce; and one son-n-law, Jesse Engleton.
