A Celebration of Life will be held for George Sterling on December 27, 2014, 10:00 AM at Morning Star Baptist Church, 8632 Cohn Street, New Orleans, LA. Pastor Roosevelt Malone, Jr. will officiate the services.
A native of New Orleans, LA and resident of Franklin, LA, Mr. Sterling passed away on December 20, 2014 at Franklin Foundation Hospital. He was 82.
Left to cherish his memories are four sons; Michael Sterling of Patterson, LA, Mark Sterling of New Orleans, LA, Marvin Sterling of New Orleans, LA, and Malcolm Sterling of Franklin, LA; one sister Dorothy Piper Sterling of New Orleans, LA, eight grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Kemp Sterling; parents, Lucius Sterling and Bessie Callahuan Sterling; and one sister, Margaret Hill.
