A Mass of Christian Burial for Gloria Howard, will be Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 10:30 AM at St. Charles Borromeo in Grand Coteau, LA.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 4, 2025 from 9:00 AM until the commencement of the mass at St. Charles Borromeo in Grand Coteau, LA.

Gloria will be interred at St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery in Grand Coteau, LA.

With heartfelt sorrow, we announce the passing of Gloria Howard, a beloved mother, mentor, and friend, who departed this life on December 20, 2024, at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center. Gloria was born on July 4, 1950, to the late Delton Howard and Ada Chachere Howard in Lafayette, LA, where she spent her early years. At a young age, she moved to Houston, TX, where she embraced her faith, gave her life to God, and devoted herself to serving at her local church.

In 1995, Gloria returned to her hometown of Lafayette, LA, where she reunited with her first love, Gerald Milton. She continued to devote her life to God, faithfully serving her community and inspiring others with her unwavering faith and kindness. She spent nearly three decades working in the food service industry, excelling professionally, mentoring, and influencing countless lives with her compassion, wisdom, and dedication.

She will be remembered for her faith, her generous heart, and the profound impact she made on everyone who knew her. Her legacy of love, faith, and service will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Gloria leaves to cherish her memories to her devoted partner/husband, Gerald Milton of Carencro, LA; two daughters, Gloria Henry, aka "Tina" (Casey) of Sunset, LA, and Norma Howard (Terry) of Houston, TX; five grandchildren: Casey Howard (Crystal), Joshua Howard, and Joseph Malbrough all of Carencro, LA; Kearra Malbrough (Justin) of Plaisance, LA, and Shannon Howard of Houston, TX; nine great-grandchildren: Ja'Nayah, Juelz, Kalil, Kai, Rhya, Nehemiah, Khy'lon, Cai'lynn, and Kris'lynn. She is also survived by her sisters; Betty Hall of Cankton, LA, and Catherine Carter of Carencro, LA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by two sons, one daughter, her parents, four brothers, and seven sisters.
