A Celebration of Life for Gregory Johnson will be held Saturday, March 4, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. at MK Dixon Funeral Home in Baldwin, La.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 4, 2023, from 1:00 P.M. until the commencement of the celebration at MK Dixon Funeral Home in Baldwin, La.

Gregory Johnson, was born on July 18, 1959 to Clarence and Rosa Lee Johnson. Gregory transitioned from this life to his eternal resting place on Thursday, February 23, 2023. His departure leaves a deep and personal loss to all who knew and loved him and shared precious memories in his life.

"Ole Skool," as he was known by many, was a kind and upstanding kind of man who visited and called his mother everyday to make sure that she was ok.

He enjoyed watching his favorite football team, the New Orleans Saints, and Judge Judy. He decorated his house inside and outside with Saints' colors and logo. His hobbies were gardening, spending quality time with his brothers, raising rabbits, chickens, and his dog.

He married Antionette Perro Johnson, no children were born to this union.

Gregory leaves to cherish his memories his loving mother, Rosalee W. Johnson; companion, Kizzie Johnson; three daughters, Gregoryantiara Johnson of Morgan City, La, Sarah Juawa, and Parmae Mcpherson of Patterson, La; two brothers, Lorenzo (Charlotte) Johnson, Sr. of Youngsville, La and Rayfield (Uncle Roy) Johnson of Franklin, La; three sisters, Sheila Johnson- Verett of Baton Rouge, La, Wanda Daniels, and Monica (Calvin) Sanders of Franklin, La; two aunts, Brenda Phillips of Franklin, La, and Myrtle Mitchell of San Diego, Ca; one grandson, Jakaymine Sonnier,Jr. of Patterson, La; three granddaughters, twins Aniyah and Amiyah Spalding of Morgan City, La, and Jaycelynn Sonnier of Patterson, La; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Barry Johnson, Sr., and Kirkland Johnson; step father, Martin Wilson; one aunt, Pearline Viltz; Avery Admired; one uncle, Woodrow Viltz.

Final arrangements have been entrusted by MK Dixon Funeral Home, 337-940-9253, 211 Main Street, Baldwin, La 70514.
