Funeral Service for Harold Anderson will be Saturday, March 7, 2020, 1:00 PM at Church of God of Prophecy, 1211 Third Street, Patterson, LA. Bishop James T Whitney will officiate the service.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 7, 2020, from 11:00 AM until the time of service at Church of God of Prophecy.
Interment will be Monday, March 9, 2020, 11:00 AM, Golden Chain Baptist Church Cemetery, Cottonport, LA.
Harold Anderson was born on February 6,1955 to the late Jessie Anderson Sr. and Theresa Hayward Anderson in Indian Bayou/Cottonport, Louisiana.
Harold attended high school in Cottonport. While in high school, he enjoyed playing basketball. After completing his education, he enlisted in the United States Army. He left the military after serving three years with an Honorable Discharge. After returning home from the military, Harold wore many hats. He worked as a teacher for the disabled, a mechanic, a farmer and a truck driver for many years.
Later in life, Harold moved to Morgan City , where he began worshipping at the Patterson Church of God of Prophecy. Harold would come forward for prayer where he accepted God as his personal savior. Harold had an impact on everyone he came in contact with and those who know him knows of his contagious laugh and sense of humor.
He leaves to cherish his memories two daughters Angie (Joseph) Dugas of Grand Coteau, La., and Searrah Guidry of Lafayette, La. and one son, Torry Simien of Houston, Tx., Three brothers Jessie (Emma) Anderson. Of Houston, Tx., Richard (Lorraine) Anderson of Morgan City, La., Thomas (Nadine) Anderson of Baton Rouge, La., and Donald (Shirley) Friels of Cottonport, La.; two sisters Jocelyn Anderson of Madison, Al., and Sharon Irving of Houston, Tx., seven grandchildren: Trevel, Kenneth, Torrey, Bradley, Torry, Nubian, Aryanna and Channing, two sisters-in-law, Sharyl Anderson, Carolyn Anderson; one brother-in-law, Willie Bonton, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded death by his parents; Jessie and Theresa Anderson Sr.; three brothers, Michael, Robert and David Anderson; two sisters; Louis Bonton and Paula Lacarte.
