"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing." (2 Timothy 4: 7-8)

At 4:10 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3, 2020, Our Heavenly Father called our beloved mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to eternal rest.
Hollis Marie Lewis, so lovingly known as "Holliece," was a native of Franklin, LA and a short-time resident of Beaumont. TX. She was born on June 2, 1964 to the late Henry "Junious" Simmons and Beatrice Lee Williams.
She accepted Christ and found her faith with God at an early age. She was baptized by Rev. Joseph Fields of Greater St. Stephens Baptist Church in Oxford, LA. Holliece attended school within the St. Mary Parish School system. She later became a homemaker, providing for her family and anyone else she could.
"Holliece," as she was affectionally called, is no longer with us, but we will also never forget her. She leaves behind many who will cherish her precious memories: six daughters, Hollis (Demond) Davis, Sr. of Patterson, LA; Latoya (Dimpsy) Tinsley of New Iberia, LA; Taja Lewis of Houston, TX; Gracie (Lewis) Franks of Sioux City; Garriana Lewis of Berwick, LA; and Kacey Hongo of Alexandria, LA; one son, Crisincio (Bessard) Franks of Atlanta, GA; two sisters, Gracie Williams of Beaumont, TX and JoAnne Lee of Moses Lake, WA; three brothers, James Williams of Moses Lake, WA; Ronnie Lewis of Lafayette, LA; and Terry Lewis of New Iberia, LA; one aunt, Adell Williams of Orange, TX; one uncle, Robert Foster of Franklin, LA; one godson, Tyrus Jones, 15 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and special friends.
Hollis was preceded in death by her father, Henry "Junious" Simmons; her mother, Beatrice Lee Williams; her stepfather, Jules Spain; maternal grandmother, Valinda Lee; two sisters, Glenda "Lou Ma" Otis and Linda Williams; two brothers, Larry Lewis and Davis Williams, Sr.; and one aunt, Edna Mae Brooks.
Holliece will be sadly missed by those who knew her; however, we are confident and of good courage that "to be absent from the body is to be present with the lord." (2 Corinthians 5:8)
