A Celebration of Life for Horacestine Dugas will be held Saturday, September 3, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. at MK Dixon Funeral in Baldwin, Louisiana. Mask will be required.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 3, 2022 from 8:00 A.M. until the commencement of the celebration at MK Dixon Funeral Home in Baldwin, Louisiana.
Horacestine will be interred at Perpetual Park Cemetery in Franklin, Louisiana.

Horacestine Daniels Dugas was born July 6, 1953, to the late Willie Daniels, Sr., and Geneva Berry Daniels in Franklin, LA.

On Sunday, August 14, 2022, Horacestine stepped out of the life into eternal life to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Church.

She was baptized at an early age at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Katy, LA by the Pastor C.E. Baptiste. She was a proud member of Mt. Zion while she was still living in Louisiana. She attended church at the Potter's House Baptist Church Sincere Ministry of Phenix City AL. under the leadership of Pastor Roy Jones.

Horacestine attended Park Avenue High School, after graduation she went on to receive her license in health care as a CNA, upon moving to California, Horacestine worked in this field as a loving and caring CNA for over ten years, later worked for Wal-Mart as a very helpful worker.

She leaves to treasure her memories: two sons, Chawn (Keshia) Craig of Phenix City, AL and Lathanail Dugas of Tocoma, WA; two daughters, Nicole Dugas, and Michella Dugas, Fort Worth, TX; two sisters, Carolyn (Alfred) Daniels and Martha (Donald) Daniels both of Franklin, LA: three brothers, Alex (Mary) Daniels of Beaumont, TX; Kenneth ( Mavis) Daniels of Fort Worth, TX, and Charles Lee Daniels, Houston, TX; thirteen grandchildren, Chanija T. Craig, Chawn T. Craig ,Jr., Ke'Aizhia F. Reeves, Ke'Zhaun D. Reeves, Tally S. Reeves, Sergio J.M. Reeves, Geneva R. Chisolm,  Jacob E. Cook, Jeremiah J. Cook, Travon K. Dugas, Khaliyl M. Dugas, Leilani M. Dugas, and Xzavyon T. Dugas, five great grandchildren, Montasia T. Reeves, Riley R. Reeves, Kyla E. Owens, Aliyah E. Reeves, and McKenzie Hollen, lifetime friend, Marie Phillips, one godchild, Yolande Harris -Vital, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Geneva Daniels, her husband, Lathaniel Dugas, Sr., sister, Hazel Ann Daniels, two brothers, Willie Daniels, Jr., and Albert Provost, one sister-in-law, Rose Lee Daniels, three nieces, and two nephews.
