Morgan City

A Celebration of Life for International & Jurisdictional Supervisor Gloria Hebert will be held Friday, May 10, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at Siracusaville Recreation Center in Morgan City, LA.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 9, 2024 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. immediately following a religious service until 9:00 P.M. at Baldwin Revival Center COGICU in Baldwin, LA.

Final Visitation will be Friday, May 10, 2024, from 9:00 A.M. until the commencement of the celebration at Siracusaville Recreation Center in Morgan City, LA.

Gloria will be interred at Morgan City Mausoleum in Morgan City, LA.

Supervisor Gloria S. Hebert, a native and resident of Morgan City, LA, transitioned at Ochsner St. Mary from earth to glory on April 24, 2024, at 5:58 P.M.

Supervisor Hebert is survived by four children; Cecelia Taylor Hebert and Bishop Jerry Taylor Hebert, Morgan City, LA, Elaine (Rev. Grady) Patterson, Jeanerette, LA, Stella Anne (Brian) Monroe, St. Gabriel, LA; one daughter in law, Julia Hebert Jeanerette, LA; 12 grandchildren, Brittani Monroe, Darla Hebert, Grady Patterson, Jr., Andrea (John) Porter, Quinshel (Christopher) Marshall, Quent Guy, Quailyn (Perry) Neal, Marcus Benjamin, LaTara Joe, Worsha Ruffin, Sr., Dr. Terrance (Zakia) Ruffin and Darius Preston; 18 great grandchildren, Da'Monique August, Da'Niyah August, Kortnei Patterson, Kamron Patterson, Kyron Patterson, Kaden Patterson, Kali Patterson, Kullen Patterson, Javontre Patterson, Javon Marrero, QuNahri Guy, Ryleigh Guy, Gracelyn Neal, Worsha Ruffin, Jr., Ari Baldwin-Ruffin, Za'hyri Ruffin, Zamar Ruffin, Zalani Ruffin; one sister, Bettie Ann Cannon; four sisterly cousins, Patsy Powell, Debbie Favors, Arthur Louise Scott and Bernie Lee Evans; Spiritual Son, Wayne Little; Spiritual daughters and supportive sons, Glenda and Anthony Meeks, Pastor Lee and Dr. Sheron Steward.

Preceded in death by her husband, Bishop Marshall Hebert, Jr.; son, Marshall Hebert, III; daughter, Gerenda Ruffin Bradford; brother in love, Will Cannon, Jr.; parents, Cleveland Scott and Cecelia Hartman Scott; maternal grandparents, Matthew Hartman and Hattie Gant Hartman; paternal grandparents, Edward Scott and Nancy Pleasant Scott; a host of aunts, uncle, and other relatives and friends.
