A Celebration of Life for Iola Harris, will be held Saturday, April 19, 2025, at 1:00 PM at New Zorah Baptist Church in Morgan City, LA.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 19, 2025, from 11:00 AM until the commencement of the celebration at New Zorah Baptist Church in Morgan City, LA.

Iola will be interred at Morgan City Cemetery in Morgan City, LA.

Iola Harris, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2025. She was 85 years old.

Iola's  life of service and love both to and for others will forever be cherished in the hearts of her loving and devoted nephew, Terrence "Terry" Lane of Breaux Bridge, LA; a great-nephew, Derek Lane of Dallas, TX; god-children, Tamara Young, Donald Dangerfield, and Verna Sharese Allen and a host of cousins; the New Zorah Church family, and many dear friends.

She now rests and awaits the second coming of Jesus Christ with those loved ones who preceded her in death, which include her: parents, Carrie Jackson Harris and Earnest Harris; a sister, Dorothy Mae Berry Lane; her maternal and paternal grandparents; special cousins, Emelda Buggage and Stephanie Bickham; a dear friend, Edwina Nelson Thomas and a god-child, Kimberly Marshall.
