A Memorial Service will be held for Ivy Hebert, Sr. on Friday, August 12, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. at MK Dixon Funeral Home in Baldwin, LA. Mask will be required.

The family will begin receiving attendees on Friday, August 12, 2022 at 9:30 A.M. at MK Dixon Funeral Home.

Ivy Juarl "Heavy" Hebert Sr, 50, a native of Baldwin, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2022.

Ivy was loved and well known by so many people. Everyone who had the opportunity to meet Ivy, fell in love with his personality. He was the happiest when he was surrounded by his family, showing off his impeccable dance moves. The positive energy he brought into every room he entered left a mark on all. He was dedicated to his craft of 30+ years of being an offshore supervisor, crane operator, and pipefitter. He chased the adrenaline behind it. When Ivy was around nobody went without. He made sure everyone was alright. You could often find Ivy on someone's porch drinking coffee. He loved everyone.

Ivy survived by his wife, Misty Williams Hebert of Baldwin,La; his son, Ivy Juarl Hebert Jr., of Baldwin, La; his daughters, Aryn and Nicki Hebert both of Baldwin, La; his stepdaughter, Meagan Williams of Charenton, La; his father and stepmother, Harry and Tina Hebert of New Iberia, La; his sisters, Harriet Hebert, of New Iberia, La and Nancy Boudreaux, of Jeanerette, La; his brothers, Harry, Jake, and John Hebert, all of New Iberia,La; godmother, Gwen and husband, Steve Vice of Charenton, La; godfather, Carroll Bonin of Sorrel, La; aunt Paulette and husband, Donnie Chauvin of Franklin, La, aunt Julia and husband, Kippy Martin of Centerville, La, aunt Regina C. Benoit of Baldwin, La, Tami Gunn (Tom) of Orange, TX, Marie Dartez of Orange, TX, Lisa Todd (Micheal) of Rigley, TN; four godchildren, Rodney Bornette of Texas, Megan Comeaux Gardner of Denham Springs, La, Randon Hebert of New Iberia, La, and Markel John-Lewis of New Iberia, La.

Ivy is preceded in death by his mother, Roberta Dartez Hebert, maternal grandfather, Robert Dartez Sr, maternal grandmother, Juanita Abshire Benoit and husband, Louis Benoit Sr, paternal grandmother, Una and husband, Allen Maxwell, paternal grandpa, Ellis P Hebert, uncles, Louis Benoit Jr.,and Robert Dartez Jr.,  aunts, Margaret D "Margie" Lachney, Theresa D Gentry, Christine Lewing, Theresa Aucoin. Niece Alexis Hebert, brother in law, Wade Boudreaux Jr.
