A Celebration of Life for Jackson Rudolph, Jr. will be held Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at St. John Baptist Church, Irish Bend Rd, Franklin, LA. Mask will be required.
Visitation will be Saturday, May 15, 2021, from 10:00 A.M. until the commencement of the celebration at St. John Baptist Church, Irish Bend Rd, Franklin, LA.
Mr. Jackson will be interred at St. John Baptist Church Cemetery, Franklin, LA.
Jackson "Duna" Rudolph, Jr. was born to the union of Jackson Rudolph, Sr., and Courtney Mae Green Rudolph on January 4, 1962, in Franklin, LA (Oaklawn). He was baptized at Mt. Horeb Baptist Church by the late Rev. J. W. Wells. He later joined St. John Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Ulysses Mitchell, Jr. and was a member of the Usher Board.
Duna was educated in the St. Mary Parish Public School System. He was a Certified Fork Lifter and worked in multiple skilled labor jobs in the workforce industry. Just to name a few, he worked for the Parish of St. Mary, Sterling Sugar, Offshore, and Cypress Bayou Casino. Duna acquired a love for carpentry work and was known as "Mr. Fix- It" in the family.
Duna was married on May 27, 2000, to the love of his life, the lovely Michelle McCoy Rudolph, after dating for 18 years. To this union two baby boys were born.
Memories of Duna will forever remain in the hearts of his wife, Michelle McCoy Rudolph; sons, Travis McCoy and Justin McCoy of Franklin, Louisiana; daughter, Ladasha Diggs of Tacoma, Washington; siblings, Mary Louise Spain (Lloyd), Barbara Rudolph, Ethel Ferguson, Janice Rudolph, and Virgie Rudolph, all of Franklin, Louisiana; special brother, Don (Lakeesha) Verrett of Katy, Texas; seven grandchildren, Jtavia, Anevaeh, Naija, Zavier, Dezion, Tyren, and Dzyrian; godchildren, MarYeala Jones and Eulalia McCoy; eight sisters- in- law, six brothers- in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jackson Rudolph, Sr. and Courtney Green Rudolph; his maternal grandparents, Joe and Emily Green; his paternal grandparents, Giles and Elizabeth Rudolph; his mother- in- law and father- in- law, Louis and Homernette McCoy; sisters, Carrie Jean McClain and Elaine Rudolph; and a special big brother, Norman (June) Verrett, Jr.
