Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.

Funeral Service for James C Nash will be held Monday, August 5, 2019, 12:00 Noon at MK Dixon Funeral Home, 211 Main Street, Baldwin, LA 70514. Rev. Carl Lewis will officiate the service,

Visitation will be Monday, August 5, 2019, from 10:00 AM until the time of service at MK Dixon Funeral Home.

Mr. Nash will be buried in St. Helen Cemetery, Glencoe, LA.

James Curtis "Curt" Nash was born June 13, 1941 to Lorenza Marie Harrison (deceased) and Alcee Nash (deceased), in Baldwin, LA. He was a long-time member of Trinity United Methodist Church. James graduated from Willow Street High School in Franklin, LA, Thereafter, he served our country by joining the United States Army as an electrician.

He attended Texas Southern University (TSU) and Houston Community College (HCC) where he obtained his universal engineering license. James worked as an engineer for over 30 years at the University of Houston-Clear Lake in Houston, TX. After a long dwelling in Houston, he moved back to his hometown of Baldwin, LA where he positively impacted in and out of his community and catered to his dog Lucky, until his untimely passing on July 31, 2019

He leaves behind siblings Edna Norris, William Nash, Charles Nash, and Robert Nash; children Umayma Nash, Coblah Ogbonna Masud Nash, Adrian Adams, and Curtis Nash; grandchildren Jasmine, Ashley-Taylor, Sterling, Corey, Tori, and Jenzel Nash. Also, many nieces, nephews, and godchildren he dearly loved.He will be truly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Sam Nash.
