Jamie Laday

Jamie surrendered to God Wednesday, August 31, 2022, after a courageous battle with diabetes. He passed away peacefully with family at his bedside.

Jamie was the third child born to Eleanor Arceneaux Laday on April 19, 1973.

He was reared in Ashton, LA, by his loving grandparents, Cleveland Arceneaux and Hester Preston Arceneaux.

Beautiful and cherished memories will forever linger in the lives of his two sisters, Charlene Laday (Herbert) Hill and Tamara Lady both of Kingston, New York; two brothers, Charles Laday and Jeramy Laday both of Houston, TX; three uncles, Cleveland Arceneaux, Jr of Henry, TN; Earl Lewis and Melvin Notto both of Ashton, LA; five aunts, Dora Elois Arceneaux of  Four Corners, LA, Marva Arceneaux all of Ashton, LA; Cathy Notto of Baton Rouge, LA; and Dianna Arceneaux of Garland, TX; four great aunts, Dora A. Bessard, Delores Arceneaux both of Beaumont, TX; Marguerite Arceneaux of Ashton, LA; and Earline Lewis of Four Corners, LA; his godmother, Donna Lewis-Lanceslin of Baldwin, LA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, Hester and Cleveland Arceneaux, Sr., two uncles, Charles Arceneaux, Sr., Arthur Arceneaux, and a host of aunts, uncles, and other relatives.

He will be missed by a host of relatives and friends.
