A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Janice Marie Robertson, age 59, at 10 A.M. on Monday, January 23, 2017, at St. Peter The Apostle Catholic Church in Four Corners.
Fr. Andreas Kedati will be the celebrant. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 7 a.m. until time of service with a Rosary at 9:30 A.M.
A resident of Franklin, Janice passed away at 7:20 p.m. on Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans with her family at her side.
Janice was born on October 15, 1957 to the union of Jerry Mae Colar Robertson and the late Raymond Robertson Sr. of Four Corners. She was an employee of Franklin Healthcare Center in Franklin for 34 years. Her memories will live on in the hearts of all who knew her and she will be dearly missed.
Janice was a 1976 graduate of Franklin Senior High School. She continued her studies at Southern University and A&M college in Baton Rouge for a year and a half. She always had a flair for Interior Design. She enjoyed creating beautiful flower arrangements.
She enjoyed traveling with her co-workers on many vacations, as well as many bus trips to the casino. She was a dedicated worker and enjoyed spending time with family. She was a soft-spoken person with a welcoming smile. She was a strong woman, who put her family's needs first.
She is survived by her mother, Jerry Mae Robertson of Four Corners, La. Survivors include her husband Wilbert Mitchell of Franklin and her four children: Tanginica Robertson-Paddio and husband Deveron of Baytown, Texas, LaTonya Robertson of Jeanerette, Tremaine Robertso Sr. of Franklin, and DeAndre' Robertson Sr. of Four Corners. Survivors also include her two brothers; Raymond (Bernice) Robertson Jr. of Lubbock, TX. and Greg (Penny) Robertson Sr. of New Iberia, two sisters; Patricia (Raymond) Washington of New Orleans, and Stephanie (Juan) Stewart of Franklin, 13 grandchildren, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Robertson Sr. and her sister, Wannette Lynell Robertson, Aunts Genieve Moore, Lois Knatt, Sarah Lee Moore, Patricia Robinson, Uncles James Colar, Robert Robertson, Charles Robertson, and Earl Lewis.
Pallbearers will be Lorenzo Bowie, Tyrone Robertson, Antonio Stearns, Rodney Jack, Joseph Jackson Jr., and Reginald Archangel.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Raymond Robertson Jr., Greg Robertson Sr., Deveron Paddio Sr., Tremaine Robertson Sr., DeAndre' Robertson Sr., William Colar, Paul Colar, Felton Colar Sr., Raleigh Robinson, and Emmich Robertson Jr.
