Jason Marks

A Celebration of Life for Jason Marks will be held Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at MK Dixon Funeral Home in Baldwin, Louisiana with Pastor Valerie Rhine, Officiating. Mask will be required.

Visitation will be Saturday, December 17, 2022 from 9:00 A.M. until the commencement of the celebration at MK Dixon Funeral Home in Baldwin, Louisiana.

Jason Marks was born to Bessie Mae Marks and the late Wilbert Guy on June 6, 1961. He departed life on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at approximately 10:35 A.M.

Jason attended school at Thomas Gibbs. He was employed as a sugarcane worker fro 42 years. Jason was known as (Jubilee). He loved enjoying time with his family, listening to music, dancing, joking with others, riding around blowing his horn at everybody saying his favorite words (lay it down, lay it down, ain't nobody want to play fair). He was a man that would say everyday was his birthday and that he loved everybody and we all have to stay happy, not sad.

Along with the many people whose lives Jason made an impact on, he leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Alice Mae Marks; his mother, Bessie Mae Marks; his sister, Celeste Marks; stepsister, Patricia Guy, all of Jeanerette, La; three sons, Jason Raymond(Shamika), Dimone Raymond(Shanerika), and Jermaine Raymond; four daughters, Sherita Raymond, Georgette Prejean(Bernard), Claudia Raymond, Cherrell Raymond; one stepdaughter, Katina Manson(Jarvis), all of Jeanerette, La; three great-grandchildren, 40 grandchildren; three aunts, Josie Marks, Jessie Gilliam, and Mary Brooks; three uncles, Joseph August, John Marks, and Clarence Marks; a host of nieces, nephews, sisters in law, brothers in law, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wilbert Guy, his maternal grandmother, Leola August, his father he was raised by, Harold(Rabbit) Louis, his aunt, Barbara Marks, and his granddaughter, Ja'Hari Lanae Raymond.
