A Celebration of Life for Jennifer Lanceslin will be held Saturday, June 20, 2026, 12:00 PM at Trinity United Methodist Church, Baldwin, LA.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 10:00 AM until the commencement of the celebration at Trinity United Methodist Church.
Jennifer will be interred in Sacred Heart Cemetery Mausoleum, Baldwin, LA.
Jennifer Lynn Collins Lanceslin was born on October 2, 1964, to the union of Conrell Sr. and Eliza P. Collins. Fittingly, Jennifer was born during Hurricane Hilda, and from the very beginning she was a force to be reckoned with. She possessed an unmatched energy, a vibrant personality, and a presence that could never be ignored. Jennifer was always seen and heard when she entered a room. Her beautiful spirit, infectious smile, and loving heart of gold illuminated the lives of all who knew her.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 23 years, Dean Lanceslin, the love of her life; her one and only daughter, LaQuanta Collins Cleary (Brandon), who was truly her pride and joy. Jennifer loved telling everyone just how proud she was of her daughter.
She also leaves behind her four beloved grandsons: Kameron Donyei Patterson, Kyron Conrell Patterson, Kaden Lee Patterson, and Bruce Alhazen August, Jr. Jennifer played an instrumental role in helping raise her grandsons, pouring into them love, wisdom, guidance, and unwavering support.
Jennifer also leaves to cherish her memory her sisters: Virginia Collins, Sherry Madison, Iris (John) Tillman, Sharon (Lonzie) Johnson, and Renelle (Anthony) Freeman; her brothers: Conrell(Patricia) Collins, Jr., Gerald (Marie) Collins, Cecil (Valine) Collins, and David (Tameka) Collins; her brothers-in-law: Donald (Donna) Lanceslin, Sr. and Danny Lanceslin; her sisters-in-law: Paulette Lanceslin and Claudette Lanceslin; her uncle, Edward (Olivia) Patrick; and her godsons, Juntre Francis and Theron Mitchell; Special friends Cheryl Wilson, Sherry Simmons, Janice Mitchell and Idella Stevenson.
She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, dear friends, and countless individuals whose lives she touched through her compassion, service, advocacy, and unwavering love for others.
Jennifer is preceded in death by her loving parents Conrell Sr. and Eliza P. Collins, great granddaughter K’ior Dauterive, sisters Annette Randall, Sandra Collins, brothers Darrell Collins and Kenneth Collins, Sr., paternal grandparents Richard and Virginia Baptiste Collins, maternal grandparents, Edward Sr. and Gertrude Latulas Patrick.
