A Celebration of Life for Jermaine Riles will be held Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Special Providence Baptist Church in Baldwin, La. Mask will be required.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 7, 2023 from 9:00 A.M. until the commencement of the celebration at Special Providence Baptist Church in Baldwin, La.

Jermaine will be interred at Special Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Baldwin, La.

Jermaine Francis Riles, Sr. was born to the union of the late Freddie Lee Riles and Edna Mae Grogan-Riles on August 20, 1973. He was the oldest of 6 children. He was educated in the St. Mary Parish School System. He was baptized at a young age at Special Providence Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. C. E. Baptiste.

Jermaine was a loving and caring son, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He had a generous heart and would help anyone in need. One of his favorite passions was watching the Dallas Cowboys.

Jermaine was known as a hard worker and took pride in providing for his family. He worked for Wal-Mart Supercenter 533 in New Iberia from 2010 until his untimely death.

It is known that our Lord God never make mistakes and in his infinite wisdom deemed it timely on Monday, December 26, 2022 to call his son to eternal rest. Jermaine's departure leaves a deep and personal loss to all who loved him and who were blessed to share precious moments in his life. Although he will be sorely missed, there is peace in knowing that we can confidently say to be absent from the body is to be present with our Lord.

Left to cherish his fond memories are his mother, Edna Mae Grogan- Riles; 7 daughters, Whitney Lee, Keyante Lee-Marshall, Jabrionta Riles, JaQuionjana Riles and Ja'Shyia Riles of New Iberia, LA, Jalacia Riles of Houston, TX, and Jalana (Kayla) Thibodeaux of Port Arthur, TX; 3 sons, Jeremiah Maxie of Baldwin, LA, Jermaine Riles, Jr. of Lafayette, LA an Jaquallion Polidore of Jeanerette, LA; 8 grandchildren Kenzley Marshall, Alleray Marshall, Jr., Kayden Meyers, Noah Meyers, Zayden Benjamin, JaKhialen Riles, Jaz-Lynn Davis and Ja'Cari Polidore; 4 brothers, Justin Riles and Mark Riles of Beaumont TX, Frederick (Justina) Riles of Baton Rouge, LA and Reginald (Jomara) Riles of Baldwin, LA; 2 sisters Ranetta Riles of Beaumont, TX and Rachelon Delco of Bayou Vista, LA; sisters-in-law, Pheletro Riles, Kenya Pratt, Sharetha Holman and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Jermaine was proceeded in death by his father, Freddie Lee Riles; grandparents Saul and Loretta Grogan, Mary and Con Wallace Colbert and Erma Riles and one sister-in-law Taquila Allen Riles.

Final arrangements have been entrusted by MK Dixon Funeral Home, 337-940-9253, 211 Main Street, Baldwin, La 70514.
