A Celebration of Life for Jimmy Thomas, Jr., will be held Saturday, January 20, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at Greater St. Stephens Baptist Church in Franklin, La.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 20, 2024 from 9:00 A.M. until the commencement of the celebration at Greater St. Stephens Baptist Church in Franklin, La.

Jimmy will be interred at Beau Pre Memorial Park in Jeanerette, La.

Jimmy Roland Thomas Jr., a native of Shadyside, LA., was a twenty-seven year resident of New Iberia, LA. He was born in Lafayette, LA on July 20, 1968, to Jimmie Roland Thomas Sr. and Claudine Brown Thomas. Surrounded by his loved ones prior to, during, and after, Jimmy peacefully transitioned to his eternal resting place on January 12, 2024, at the blessed age of 55. May his beautiful soul endlessly rest in the arms of the Lord.

Jimmy leaves to cherish invaluable memories with his wife, Daphne Thomas; three children, Zhamal Thomas of Houston, TX, Zedric Thomas (Angel) of Houston, TX, and Amber Boutte (Jamal) of New Iberia, La; grandkids, Zedric Thomas Jr.,  Zayden Thomas, Emma Boutte, Jori Boutte, Zhamiah Thomas, Zarielle "Zaza" Thomas, and Elijah Boutte; sisters,  Renetta Washington  (Carl) of Gulfport, MS,  Raeschell Rudolph (Rev. Edward) of Franklin, La, Alessia Thomas-Johnson (Johnathan) of Cypress, TX; mother-in-law, Patricia Weber of Franklin, La; brother-in-law, Rodney Chatman (Irene) of Franklin, La; sister-in-law, Bernadette Davis Wells (Brian) of New Orleans, La; godmother, Jessie Rose Miller; and a multitude of family members and friends.  He enjoyed cooking, playing dominoes, having a fun time, and representing Cowboy's Nation.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jimmie and Claudine Thomas; brother, Raylan Brown; maternal grandparents, Julia Mae and Isaac Terry Brown Sr.;paternal grandparents, Isiah Stave and Nelwyn Thomas; grandson, Zion Thomas; godfather, Leroy "Gatorman" Babino Miller.
